Gesher LIT – Week 5

GESHER LIT’s Learning a Lot!

This week, the LITs had a great Israel Week at camp!

On Tuesday, we held an Israel Week competition where the LITs had to match Israeli facts and questions in a game of memory.  The LITs surprised us all with their wide knowledge of Israel.

Wednesday, the LITs beat the heat at Hurricane Harbor. We had a great day on all the water slides and in the wave pool.

On Thursday, the LITs had a great time with the Bible Players in a Leadership Improvisation Program.  It was great to see the LITs let loose and learn at the same time.

Last Friday, the LITs selected the three finalist for our Gesher Philanthropy Initiative Grant, and this week at Shabbat, the LITs listened to presentations from the finalists’ organizations and asked questions.  The LITs were very attentive and are excited to finalize the grant process next week.

Next week, the LITs will be working hard during Ruach week, helping with camp collections and two service projects.  We will also be going to the Phillies game on Thursday.
