Camp Shalom – Week 6

Making Memories with Camp Shalom!

We had Spirit at Camp Shalom this week…YES, we did, we had spirit, how about you?! It was great to see our campers and staff dressed up and giving back to our community as we celebrated our Ruach Week here at Camp!! Campers were definitely busy finding ways to capture and express their spirit at our Arts pavilion!! At Usable Arts, campers crafted their very own wind socks repurposing plastic containers and then decorating with colorful beads and bells! In Ceramics, campers created wind chimes using clay and sticks found at camp, and then painted the chimes to help show their own individual spirit and creativity. Our master chefs, whipped up their version of soft pretzels and then used their “ruach” to help cool them off! At mini golf, our campers got into the spirit of helping out our earth by taking pledges to help keep our home planet clean and healthy!! On Thursday, our Jerusalem and Tel Aviv campers had an amazing time hanging out with fellow campers, playing games and sports, doing arts and crafts together and ended the evening being entertained by the hilarious Harlem Hoopsters! Looking forward to another awesome week next week! Have a great weekend.
