The Coolanu Kids had a wonderful last week of camp. The special project we worked on all summer – flower pots for our hard-working Open Hearts Open Doors Advocates – came out so nicely and were such a sweet way to thank our support system for all they do. We also enjoyed fun activities such as sledding slope, bowling, and lots of swimming. Working on personal goals, answering yes/no questions, and socializing in fun situations were all topics Kadima Kids worked on. Ofakim participants practiced safety in working with food and dealing appropriately with criticism in the workplace. The trips this week were exciting – some of our teens enjoyed a long, but fun day at Dorney Park with the LIT group, while many Coolanu participants dined at Short Hills Diner, utilizing many of the social skills they’ve practiced over the course of the summer. It has been an absolute pleasure to have all of the Coolanu Kids in our program this summer, and we thank them for their hard work!
