When you're a kid, every summer matters.

Hilltop Happenings

Good bye, so long, farewell my friends… What a magical ending to a summer that flew by too fast! Week 8 was Maccabiah Color War, where all of the campers engaged in friendly competition. Aligned with the Disney theme, Hilltoppers were psyched to play sports such as “Mickey and Mini Golf,” and “Bambi’s Backyard Games.” Nature became “Treasure Island” where the kids completed a fun scavenger hunt for points. In Little Chefs, each team built incredible, edible 3-D representations of their team characters using marshmallows and other delectables! Arts and Crafts became “Disney Dash” where the campers experienced timed challenges such as a memory game, assembling puzzles, and sinking pom
pom balls through hoops. In one last experiment, our Little Scientists went for distance in the “Goofy Flop.” (They discovered how far a loose shoe can be kicked across the field!)  Campers also earned points for their teams by being super quiet during Tuesday’s Silent Lunch! Good sportsmanship and Ruach (spirit) were seen, felt and heard around the Camp Hilltop fields and pavilions. It was a very close race, and everyone played hard and tried their best. We ended our week with divisional dance parties hosted by Rock-It Entertainment.

Thank you to all the wonderful campers, families, and staff members for making this summer a fantastic one! We hope you have a terrific school year, and we look forward to seeing you in 2017!
