JCC Camps at Medford
When you're a kid, every summer matters.

What a week! Our show on Monday night, “Somewhere Over Camp Hilltop,” brought down the house. Our little “munchkins” (and lions, scarecrows and tin men) were so adorable and loved being on stage entertaining the audience with songs from The Wizard of Oz. Kudos to Siobhan McClintock for directing a fabulous performance! Our activities this week were also a hit with the campers — In Arts and Crafts, we made potholders and in Usable Arts, we built working clocks decorated with lego bricks. We used our senses in Little Scientists to identify mystery objects, and in Little Chefs we enjoyed amazing chocolate chip cookies. At Nature, the kids enjoyed time with their animal pals and created special garden signs. During Gymnastics, Dance, and all of the sports, the kids built up their strength and endurance…which will help them perform their best as they compete in next week’s Maccabiah (COLOR WAR!)

Rabbi Larry Sernovitz from Temple Emanuel was our special guest at Shabbat, along with our very own LITs. To cap off an incredible week, the Maccabiah teams for 2015 were revealed today! Get ready for a little friendly competition, everyone!!
