2018-Camp Shalom – Week 8
Another camp season has come to a close… summer has really flown by!
Week 8 was, of course, another great week of camp! Campers and staff enjoyed Maccabiah Color War with the theme of Survivor: Israel. There was a lot of friendly competition and good sportsmanship (rachmunus) at all of our activities, and we loved seeing all of the team ruach (spirit)!
In addition to our regular camp activities, Camp Shalom enjoyed some special events this week. On Wednesday, our teams participated in a fun game show-style competition when Hollyrock Entertainment visited camp. On Thursday, we concluded Maccabiah with our Song, Sign, and Cheer competition. These events are always Color War favorites!
On Friday, each of our age groups had their own dance parties to celebrate the last day of camp. It was also a bit of a sad day where we had to say goodbye to old and new friends we made this summer.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next summer here at JCC Camps at Medford! Have a fantastic school year, and thank you for a great summer!
