Israel Week fun at Camp Aaron

By JCC Camps at Medford

There was more Camp Aaron fun during week 5!

On Monday we welcomed our new 2nd half campers.  Monday was also the start of Israel Week. The campers were treated to a falafel lunch and many discovered a newfound liking for falafel and hummus.  Wednesday was Israel Day and the JCC Camp Shlichot (Mirit, Timara, Orel, Sharon) and the rest of the Camp Aaron staff, did an amazing job.  There were 3 areas: Israeli Art, Military Activity, and A Day in a Bedouin Tent. The campers rotated between the different areas and saw a video, learned a dance, and played games.

Thursday was the Arad overnight.  After spending some extra time at camp and eating dinner, we bused the campers to the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill for an AWESOME Cool Science Program.  The program concluded with the campers helping our presenter make ice cream that everyone got to taste. Our night wrapped up with a dip in the pool.

As another week flies by, we find ourselves looking forward to Ruach Week.

Have a great weekend!
