CAMP SHALOM WEEK 6

Creating a Camp Family with Camp Shalom!

Camp Shalom has really shown their ruach (spirit) during Week 6!  This week was all about helping those in need, and remembering that it is our responsibility to repair the world.

To help further set this week apart, each day had a different, special dress-up theme!

At Usable Arts, campers created “kindness cards” to be mailed to thank our servicemen/women. Campers at Ceramics talked about tikkun olam and used recycled materials to create art pieces.  At Digi Photo, campers learned about perspective and took photos in their own vision.  At Nature, campers explored the camp hiking trails.  Tasty “soft pretzels in a bag” were baked at Master Chef, Jr.  Campers had a great time at all their activities, including mini-golf, sports, and fishing!

Our Camp Shalom Theater participants have been hard at work rehearsing for the show!  “Willy Wonka for Kids” will be performed on Tuesday, August 8th at 7 PM at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill.  All are invited to attend the performance and support our talented campers!

We can’t wait until Week 7!
