Camp Shalom – Week 8 2017
Creating a Camp Family with Camp Shalom!
Week 8 was really great! Camp Shalom enjoyed some friendly competition this week during Maccabiah Color War, with the theme of Decades of Memories. It was “game on” for our four teams – Red Fabulous 50s, Yellow Snazzy 60s, Green Groovy 70s, and Blue Awesome 80s! Sportsmanship and rachmunus (compassion/kindness) were everywhere as teams competed in cooking, arts and crafts, nature, games, Israeli adventure, sports, swim, and lake activities. Ruach (spirit) was everywhere and cooperation and teamwork were overwhelming! On Wednesday, Hollyrock Entertainment provided us with exciting game show-style music and trivia competition. It was a blast! Color War concluded with an exciting Song, Sign and Cheer contest.
Today, we said farewell to another incredible camp season by dancing the day away at our end-of-summer parties. Special frozen treats were enjoyed by all.
Though Camp is ending and school will soon begin, we hope that the wonderful memories of all of the great times and friends at camp will carry everyone through until next summer. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon! Thank you again for sharing your children with us! L’hitraot – until we meet again…
B’Shalom,
