Week 1 was the best week ever!!!!

We spent our days celebrating the city of Haifa in Israel, which is known for its diversity. In Little Scientists, we compared

different densities of liquid. The campers saw that even though all the liquids have different qualities they are all the same. In Kosher Cooking, our campers made tie-dye t-shirt cookies to celebrate how different colors work together to make something beautiful. Our campers visited Arts & Crafts this week to make eggs that represent everyone’s unique qualities while still having the same internal “yolk.”

This week we rolled out our Shoresh Auto Shop where campers had the opportunity to engage in imaginative play. They enjoyed driving in their cars and fixing their car engines. In Campers Take the Stage, our music leader, Shira, celebrated herself! She taught the campers that the word shira means song in Hebrew. She demonstrated diversity by reading the book, “The Sneetches.” Next week, our campers will be starting Show for clubs. Our show this year will be called, “When You Believe.” We cannot wait to see our campers shine on the stage on August 9th. If your camper is interested in joining the show, please let us know so that we can include them in the show practices.
