Creating a Camp Family with Camp Shalom!
It was a great week at camp! During Week 2, Camp Shalom “visited” Eilat, the southernmost point in Israel and explored the theme of tourism. Eilat is a resort town on the Red Sea, with beautiful beaches, water sports, and hiking.
On Tuesday, our campers showed off their Red, White & Blue spirit by wearing patriotic colors. Happy Birthday, America!
Despite the heat, Camp Shalom had lots of fun on the sports fields staying cool by adding water fun to every activity. In Mad Science, campers made their very own own kinetic “beach” sand. Delicious pineapple upside down cakes were baked in Master Chef Jr. to look like the sun and the Red Sea. In Usable Art, campers created seascape sundials using paint, tissue paper, and sea shells. Campers created beach-themed yoga poses at Yoga and painted watercolor jellyfish at Arts & Crafts. Our campers also had a blast at Fishing, Games, Digi Photo, Music, Nature and much more!
