Hilltop Happenings – Week 6 2021
During Ruach Week many memories were made! This week’s theme was leadership skills and justice. The heroes that exemplify these character traits are Captain America and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. In Usable Art, campers read Who was Ruth Bader Ginsburg? The campers learned all about her and how she became a Supreme Court judge. Campers created a collar just like the ones Ruth would wear. Campers were asked, “If they were a judge, what rules would they want everyone to follow?” The decorative collars were very special to wear around camp. In Yoga, campers heard Yoga Friends. They worked together creating poses using their hands or feet with another camper in the bunk. They were asked to show their warrior poses. Also, they held a pose like Captain America. In Little Science, campers showed their leadership skills in deciding how to make a strong structure using plastic cups. They needed it to be strong, just like Captain America. In Dance, campers played Superhero games. The games included Museum Guard and Freeze Dance. It is a game that is fun for all! We can’t wait to make more memories next week!
