Camp Aaron is having a blast! Week 8 2021

As we wrap up another summer at the JCC Camps at Medford, our campers and staff competed in… MACCABIAH 2021. It was great seeing our campers and staff dress up representing their teams. On Monday, the campers were treated to an exciting break with a parade from the Medford Township Police, Fire, and EMS. The games then began with friendly competitions between the red and blue teams in Mini Golf, Kickball, Ropes, Top Chef, and Art, just to name a few. The sign and cheer competition was amazing and the campers should be proud of themselves. Each team put forth their best effort and will share Maccabiah memories for years to come. The campers competed hard but at the end of the day, the bunks united and went home as friends.

As the camping season ends it’s time to reminisce about what an amazing summer we had this year. In addition to their favorites (Gaga, Lake Inflatables, Archery, etc….) campers were introduced to activities that they may not have chosen had we been able to do individual schedules this year. We had a memorable time on our late stays, eating in the new lunch tent, and most of all being outside with our camp family. During the summer old friendships were strengthened and new ones were formed. We will miss our 8th grade friends but look forward to seeing them move up to be LITs next summer.

It has been another wonderful summer for everyone in Camp Aaron! Thank you for sharing your children with us. I hope everyone has a great off-season and we’ll look forward to seeing everyone back in Medford for Summer 2022!
