Camp Hilltop Week 2 – 2018

It may be hot out, but that did not stop Camp Hilltop from having a great time!  This week we focused on the city of Eilat with its them of Tourism.  In Little Chefs, the campers learned about the Red Sea and enjoyed a salty/sweet treat, salted caramel brownies.  They learned about mayim – water and chol – sand.  Our campers practiced engineering in Little Scientists by creating their own airplanes, just like the dinosaur flew on in the book, Dinosaur Goes to Israel.  They used different types of supplies to create different sized planes and observed their flight patterns.  In Dance, everyone played with parachutes to keep cool.  Our wonderful specialists at Nature are helping the environment by recycling used water bottles.  Please send in any recycled water bottles you may have with your camper.  We are using them for a Nature project in the next few weeks.
