Camp Shalom – Week 1 2017

Camp Shalom is kicking off week one by meeting and greeting our camp Mispacha (Family)! Campers are having a blast getting to know each other and making new friends!

In Nature, campers were introduced to the animals (including the new alpacas!) while learning about the different families that make up the animal kingdom.

Beautiful, custom name plate door hangings were created at Usable Art for your family home, while campers at Ceramics sculpted individual family trees.  In Master Chef, campers baked thumbprint cookies that were delicious!  At Mad Science, campers had a blast experimenting with bottle-flipping, predicting which bottles would land vertically compared to bottles with different contents.  With Week 1 being so much fun, we can’t wait for Week 2!

Don’t forget to wear red, white, and blue on Monday, and that our picture day is Thursday, July 6th- make sure campers are wearing their camp shirts!
