Camp Shalom Week 5

Creating a Camp Family with Camp Shalom!

Another great week in Camp Shalom!

We celebrated Israel Week with lots of fun and spirit!  We honored the Jewish homeland by celebrating all things Israel.

In Arts & Crafts, campers wove Stars of David using yarn and cardboard.  Campers photographed themselves making a Star of David with their hands and painted blue and white photo frames in Digi Photo.  In Ceramics, campers created their own Wailing Walls – an iconic symbol of Israel – using air dry clay.  Campers enjoyed visiting the animals at Nature, especially the alpacas!  In Usable Art, campers created unique Traveler’s Prayers meant to keep travelers safe.  Campers also love participating in all of our fun sport activities, learning about good sportsmanship and teamwork.

Our Haifa & Eilat campers enjoyed their Late Stay, having extra time at camp and a fun dance party.  We can’t wait for Masada & Dimona’s Late Stay next week on Wednesday, August 1st!

On Thursday, Camp Shalom celebrated Israel Day.  We participated in a day of special activities, including army-style games, an Israeli food experience, and more.
