Meet our Summer 2022 Care Team

After two challenging years of living through the pandemic, it is more important than ever before that we support our campers’ and staff members’ Mental, Emotional, and Social Health.
Last year, we were selected as a recipient of the Foundation for Jewish Camp’s Yedid Nefesh Grant which ensures that camp is equipped with enhanced staffing and training at all levels to ensure proactive support for the mental, emotional, and social health (MESH) needs of every camper and staff member.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Raymond & Gertrude R. Saltzman Foundation, we are now able to introduce our full Care Team, entirely focused on the mental, emotional, social, and behavioral health of our campers and staff:
  • Lisa Rosenberg, Care Team Director
  • Angela Meluso, Care Team and Behavior Specialist
  • Ronda Meltzer, Care Team
  • Daralynne McCaughey, Care Team

Lisa Rosenberg, Care Team Director

Lisa is no stranger to the JCC Camps at Medford.  She is a Cherry Hill native who started her camp career as a Hilltop camper at JCC Camps at Medford over 30 years ago. Since then, Lisa has held multiple staff positions at camp including Counselor, Division Head, and Director of Aquatics. When not at camp, Lisa is a behavioral health clinician with her own private practice. This summer, Lisa is looking forward to using her skills as a therapist as well as her experiences as a former high school biology teacher and child study team member to be able to support the mental, emotional, and social well-being of our campers and staff. Lisa lives in Cherry Hill with her husband and two children, Haley and Jacob.

Angela Meluso, Care Team and Behavior Specialist

Angela Meluso is a doctoral level Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) with educational background in Lifespan Developmental Psychology.  Since 2013, she has worked as a consultant in the southern New Jersey area in public and private schools, homes, and community settings.  She also teaches undergraduate courses in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis.  Angela’s primary focus when providing behavior consultation is relationship-building through which she can assist caregivers in developing functional ways to communicate with and teach children the skills needed to thrive in any given environment.  She also strives to create rapport with caregivers so they can feel comfortable sharing their perspectives and to provide a much-needed outlet when children demonstrate intense behavior.  In addition to behavior consultation, Angela also works directly with children demonstrating social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in home, school, and community settings.  Angela had the opportunity to consult on a limited, part-time basis at the JCC Camps at Medford through a partnership with Connect Plus Therapy in the summer of 2021. She is thrilled for the opportunity this year of an extended partnership on a full-time basis for the 2022 camp season!  In her opinion, the JCC Camps at Medford is truly the summer camp of all summer camps, with the sort of experiences that she thought had only existed in the movies!  That being said, everyone has bad days (or bad parts of days), even at a super-awesome summer camp.  She is excited for the opportunity to be there when campers and staff might struggle to help them work through the tough moments so everyone can get back to what they are there for…fun!

Ronda Meltzer, Care Team

Ronda is excited to be a part of the Care Team at JCC Camps at Medford this summer. Ronda grew up in Cherry Hill and was a JCC Camps at Medford counselor when she was in high school. Ronda earned a BA in Psychology and English at Rutgers University, an M.Ed. and Certification in School Psychology at Temple University and a MA in Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Stockton University. Ronda taught religious school to elementary, middle and high school students for 15 years in Ventnor and Northfield, NJ. Ronda has over 32 years of experience working as a School Psychologist in the Pleasantville, Upper Township and Cherry Hill School Districts and retired in January of 2021. Ronda served as the Tolerance Coordinator for Upper Township Schools and also taught educators how to teach the Holocaust. She also served as co-chair of the Richard C. Goodwin-Josiah DuBois Humanitarian Award Committee. Ronda has a love of acting and performing, recently became a soccer coach and loves spending time with her family and two puppies, Ginger and Cinnamon. Ronda has two children, Allie who has been a JCC camper since she was 4 and Jeremy who will be starting his first year at camp this summer. Ronda is looking forward to having fun at JCC Camps at Medford while supporting the emotional, behavioral, and social needs of campers and staff.
