The JCC Camps at Medford Chaverim Travel program is for teens entering 7th and 8th grade who want a summer experience filled with adventure and discovery. Chaverim campers will grow in independence as they navigate new trips and locations. Over the course of the summer, there are 6 weeks of day trips and 2 weeks of extended trips. Chaverim is a summer travel camp experience that your children will never forget!
Chaverim is led by a dynamic and caring staff who help teens build a positive social experience and create lasting memories.

Chaverim campers hop on the bus each day for a local trip to a variety of locations throughout the Tri-State Area. There’s always something for everyone! Past trips include: Great Adventure, Dorney Park, Ocean City Beach and Boardwalk, a Phillies Game at Citizens Bank Park, New York City Broadway Shows, Outdoor Laser Tag, Amazing Escape Room and much more!
Chaverim extended trips are five day, four night excursions at the end of each four week session. Campers have the opportunity to explore new and exciting places while bonding with their summer friends. Trips include hotel accommodations, entrance fees for activities, and all meals. Past trips include: Virginia Beach, Montreal, Lake George, New England, Cleveland, Washington, DC and Toronto.
Please note that in order to attend an extended trip, each camper must first attend at least one week of day trips.
