Creating a Camp Family with Camp Shalom!

Week 7 was wonderful! This week, we learned about the character traits of strength and selflessness through the heroes Superman/Supergirl and Hannah Senesh.

At Arts & Crafts, campers designed their own superhero cards using pastel crayons. Campers at Digi Photo learned about silhouettes and posed like superheroes. At Mad Science, campers explored the theme of strength by experimenting with water molecules. Campers learned about monarch butterflies and their life cycles at Nature, as well as enjoyed some time with the animals at the petting zoo. At Usable Art, campers created thank you cards for their personal heroes. Campers baked delicious fruit pizzas at Master Chef Jr. using sugar cookies, icing, and fresh fruit. Mother Nature turned up the heat this week, so water play was added to our sports activities. Campers also loved Splash Park, Sledding, and Lake Inflatables to help keep cool!

We are so excited for next week with the start of Maccabiah Color War and look forward to seeing lots of spirit!
