Creating a Camp Family with Camp Shalom! Week 3

Camp Shalom had a blast this week! The camp theme focused on the traits of determination and intellect.

At Arts & Crafts campers created splatter paint bats to represent Batman and at Usable Art campers created their own unique tools that would make the world a better place. In Digi Photo campers learned about refraction of light and used reflectors to direct light while taking their photos. Campers learned about circuits, batteries, and lights at Mad Science – this project really took determination to figure out how to use the batteries to make the bulbs light up. At Nature, campers collected natural materials along the trail and made nature collages. Campers at Yoga had fun making partner poses. Our campers also enjoyed lake activities and water play on the sports field.

On Thursday, we were all smiles for Picture Day!

Our Jerusalem campers had an incredible time at their Late Stay on Wednesday evening! It’s always fun to stay at camp “after hours” and have more time to enjoy evening activities and dinner at camp. We can’t wait for Haifa and Eilat’s Late Stay on Tuesday, July 27th and Masada and Dimona’s Late Stay on Wednesday, August 4th. If you have not already done so, please log into your Camp InTouch portal and complete your child’s permission form.

We can’t wait for Week 4!
