Creating a Camp Family with Camp Shalom! Week 5 2021

Camp Shalom had a great Week 5 celebrating Israel Week and this week’s character traits of truth and love.

Colorful tie-dye challah covers were created at Arts & Crafts, while campers designed murals of their ideal worlds at Usable Art. At Nature, campers learned about the diversity of our ecosystem by discovering microhabitats found in the NJ Pine Barrens. Optical illusions were very popular at Mad Science to help campers discover that to find the truth, you often have to look below the surface. Campers learned about ahava (love) at Digi Photo by making photo greeting cards for a loved one. The summer heat was back on this week, so campers stayed cool at the pool and enjoyed the many water activities around camp.

On Tuesday evening, Haifa & Eilat campers had a blast at their Late Stay! The evening included extra swim time, a magic show with magician Chad Juros, dinner, and dessert!

We can’t for Week 6 – Ruach (Spirit) Week!

Reminder:
Wednesday, August 4th – Masada & Dimona Late Stay – please log onto your Camp InTouch portal through the camp website to complete the parent permission form, if you have not already done so.
