This week was jam packed for the LITs with learning, leadership and fun. On Monday, we spent the day together at camp and had two visitors. In the morning, we were joined by representatives of the South Jersey Region (SJR) BBYO who ran fun games and activities where the LITs got to compete for prizes and put their creativity to the test! BBYO is a Jewish teen youth movement with a national and international presence, and they create leadership opportunities for teens and provide them with fun experiences to make memories that will last a lifetime! We were then visited later by Rabbi Carl Viniar who ran an engaging and thought-provoking workshop on the concept of tzedek (justice) in Judaism and how this applies to everything going on in the world today.

After a few days with their bunks, LITs hit the road once again for our second field trip to Wildwood’s Morey’s Piers. We spent the day in both of the water parks: Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis. There we enjoyed the fun rides, refreshing water and good food. At the end of the day, we stopped for Polish Water Ice before boarding our buses home to end our day on a delicious note.

We cannot believe Week 7 is right around the corner, and we’re looking forward to more adventures together in the coming week.
