Gesher Week 4 2019

GESHER LIT’s GET GOING!

Our LITs had a great fourth week of Camp!

Tuesday, we survived the heat and had a busy day. The LITs spent a period together working on leadership skills and after, they were happy to have camp to themselves for the annual LIT overnight. Thanks to the efforts of LITs, Jack Kramer, Adam Borenstein, Daniella Alberti, Leah Wayne, Ella Alfassy and Cassidy Barash, we kicked off our overnight with a number of fun games and activities at the Carmel Pavilion and Aaron Fields. We also had a great time swimming, playing at Splash Park and making s’mores.

After sleeping at camp, on Wednesday, we traveled to Dorney Park where we were able to enjoy a fun, long day. The LITs had a great time in the water park and riding the roller coasters.

We ended our week with our LIT Shabbat. We focused on our theme of good listening. The LITs did a wonderful job of trying to listen to their teammates as all of our teams were all shouting instructions to find their teams’ pieces. Afterwards, we had a strong discussion about listening and hearing one another.

Next week, we are excited to see the Trenton Thunder Minor League Baseball Team play and celebrate Israel Week with our campers.
