Gesher Week 7, 2019
The LITs had a great Seventh Week at camp!
This week, we focused on leadership within our bunks and spending a fun week together before Color War begins.
Tuesday, we worked on a community service project that aligned with the cause our Camp Hilltop campers chose last week, animals. We made dog toys to donate and continued to work on our paracord bracelets for Project Yellow Ribbon.
Wednesday, the LITs trekked up to Great Adventure and had a thrilling day on the rides. The LITs were happy to have a long day at the park and also eat dinner there.
Thursday, the camp’s Dugma Fellows met with the LITs. We had a fun period with our camp’s young leaders playing a camp trivia game and learning about the differences in being an LIT and a staff member. The LITs had lots of questions and all seemed more at ease after speaking with the Dugma Fellows.
On Friday, the LITs celebrated a successful summer of growth and learning with their very own LIT Color War. We split into our three teams, took washable paint and water guns, and then set out against one another. It was great to watch all of the LITs having fun covered in paint!
Next week, the LITs will be traveling to Ocean City and cheering their bunks on during Maccabiah Color War.
