HILLTOP HAPPENINGS
We cannot believe how fast camp is going! Week three was full of excitement in Camp Hilltop. Monday kicked off with a special presentation by MainStages, who entertained us with an interactive show based on The PJ Library Book, “No Baths at Camp.” On Tuesday, our Shoresh parents visited camp, and we all loved showing them what we do here every day. Thursday was Geza and Elon parents’ turn to spend the afternoon on campus. Friday we had a special PJ Library themed Shabbat with stories and fun.
Going along with this summer’s theme of Middot (Jewish Values), our Little Chefs made and learned to braid Challah. As Little Scientists, we built volcanoes and learned about chemical reactions as we watched them erupt. Our Usable Arts specialist helped us decoupage and paint flower pots and we made our own Chia Pets. In Nature we learned to respect the environment and made special wheels that taught us about recycling.
Next week, we look forward to seeing our Anaf and Bayit parents on Tuesday and enjoying Carnival Day on Thursday.
