Sara Valli

Transportation Director

Sara Valli is excited to be part of the JCC Camps at Medford Leadership Team as the Director of Transportation. She spent 17 summers at JCC Camps at Medford which she attended from age 3, and then worked as a lifeguard. Sara has a Masters Degree in Education from Rutgers University and is a certified Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant. During the year, she teaches first grade in Cherry Hill, where she has been teaching for 15+ years. Sara lives in Voorhees with her husband Rob and two kids, Sophia and Alex.

Experience

My favorite camp experience was definitely my two years in Chaverim. The trips, friendships, and memories made can’t be beat!

Food

The chocolate eclairs (the vanilla ice cream with the chocolate crunchies on it). I can still remember the anticipation/excitement of the counselor opening the brown box as we waited to see what the ice cream or popsicle flavor of the day was. Bagel day was another favorite.

Activity

I loved swim. I guess that’s why I became a lifeguard. There was nothing better than a hot day, when we got double or even triple swim!

Favorite Theme
Week

We didn’t have theme weeks when I was a camper, but I always looked forward to the carnival.
